Sindh CM Takes Exception To Lack Of Cleanliness In Hospitals

KARACHI, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has taken strong exception to lack of hygiene and cleanliness in the public sector hospitals in the province.
Chairing a meeting of officials associated with provincial health department, at Chief Minister House here Wednesday, he said public complaints can not and will not be ignored. "Stern action will be taken against the administration of the hospitals failing to maintain proper standards of hygiene and cleanliness," said the Chief Minister.
Murad Ali Shah warned the officials that he will make surprise visits to hospitals to check complaints about non-availability of medicines and other facilities.
The Sindh government has allocated adequate funds and this must be the responsibility of the administrators to make proper use of the same, he said.
Murad Ali Shah also urged the officials to ensure timely completion of each and every development project, earmarked for the current year, without any quality compromise. He said series of projects, including more than 20 different schemes related to health sector only, are presently underway in the province.
"Each of these must be completed before the given deadline," he told the participants reiterating that delays will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister said projects can be completed within the stipulated time provided the task is taken seriously.
