HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Secretary Health, Dr Muhammad Usman Chachar, has requested the Chief Secretary Sindh to assign inspection of the government hospitals to the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in the province.
According to a letter dated November 9, 2016, a copy of which is available with the APP, secretary health requested the chief secretary to direct all the commissioners and deputy commissioners to carry out the spot checking.
"To carry out spot inspection at all such health facilities within their jurisdiction and send a monthly situation report to chief secretary and secretary health," the letter reads.
According to the letter, Sindh High Court in a constitutional petition D-1575 of 2015 had given his office the directions to inspect performance, evaluation and monitoring of tertiary and secondary health facilities from the division to the district levels.
"The court is of the opinion that the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners may become helping hands in identifying possible illegalities and irregularities in such facilities to improve public service delivery," the letter reads.
