SSGC saves Rs755 mln gas from theft

Under Theft and Recovery Act-2016, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) though its surveillance and raids against theft of gas over last one year has succeeded in saving 994 MMCF gas; having market value of Rs 755 million.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Oct, 2018 ) :Under Theft and Recovery Act-2016, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) though its surveillance and raids against theft of gas over last one year has succeeded in saving 994 MMCF gas; having market value of Rs 755 million.

The utility has revamped its security services and counter gas theft control operations department and conducted around 950 raids on domestic, commercial and industrial customers.

SSGC Police also arrested several persons for illegal use of gas, said a statement on Thursday.
