SU Decides To Set Up 'Quality Enhancement Cells'

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2018 ) :In a significant way forward the management of University of Sindh has reiterated its commitment to elevate academic, research, professional, infrastructural and service standards to the best prescribed ones in the world.

As a rare development, the varsity management has decided to set up Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) at all its affiliated campuses and colleges that served as nurseries to feed clientele to the umbrella campus at Jamshoro.

The decisions to this effect were made at a meeting on Wednesday which presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat at his office. The Pro-Vice Chancellors, focal persons, campus coordinators of all campuses of the university, deans of all academic faculties, director colleges, director finance, director quality enhancement cell and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat observed that he was in Turkey, where he was proud to learn of University of Sindh as a reputed and credible higher education institution.

The Vice Chancellor said he always come across a highly positive public opinion as regards service and performance of University of Sindh during visits to various world universities here and abroad.

This is so probably because we have been investing massively in the quality paradigm through SU- QEC office under regular HEC directives and advice, he added. Dr. Burfat said that establishment of quality enhancement cells at university campuses and colleges under direct supervision and monitoring of the main campus will lead to tremendous positive outcomes.

The Director QEC Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Memon, in his brief, said that he was satisfied to note effective implementation of quality-related guidelines as mandated by Higher Education Commission Islamabad.
