Sustainable Family Planning Should Be Part Of National Security: Minister

Caretaker Provincial Minister for Population Welfare and Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq has said that if Pakistan wants to make progress and stand in the list of developed countries then sustainable and inclusive family planning should be made part of the national security model.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jul, 2018 ) :Caretaker Provincial Minister for Population Welfare and Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq has said that if Pakistan wants to make progress and stand in the list of developed countries then sustainable and inclusive family planning should be made part of the national security model.
A society can not be called developed until it gives respect and due rights to women, he added.
He was addressing a meeting held in the office of Punjab Population Innovation Fund on Wednesday. Chief, Executive Officer Muhammad Jawad briefed the provincial minister about the working, goals and different projects of the Population Innovation Fund.
Addressing the meeting, Faisal Mushtaq said that awareness among people about contraception is essential, for which the services of religious scholars and teachers are very important.
He further said that Population Innovation Fund is currently working in nine districts of Punjab.
The Minister cherished the services of the organization.
Later, Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal paid visit to Anjuman-i-Sulemania Model Children Home. He inspected different sections of the home.
Provincial Minister Faisal Mushtaq met with children and asked them to recite the Holy Quran.
At this moment, he distributed cash prizes among the children for their appreciation.
He also visited kitchen and washrooms of the home, viewed arrangements and expressed satisfaction over them.
Talking on the occasion the provincial minister vowed to resolve the issues of the children home pointed out by the administration.
He further said that he is pleased and felt satisfied after visiting Anjuman-i-Sulemania Children Model Home.
