Tight Security Arrangements For Jashn-e-Eid Milad

The police department Tuesday completed all arrangements to provide foolproof security to all functions and ceremonies to be organised in connection with Jashn-e-Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations on Wednesday (Nov 21).
City Police Officer (CPO) Ashfaq Ahmad Khan said here Tuesday that 169 Milad processions would be taken out besides 27 Mahafil in various parts of the district on 12th of Rabiul Awwal.
He said more than 3,000 security personnel have been deputed in addition to 500 volunteers for provision of safe and secured environment to the participants in the Jashn-e-Milad.
He said that 5 Superintendents Police (SPs) and 13 Deputy Superintendents Police (DSPs) were deployed to monitor security arrangements in the district whereas 8 Inspectors, 89 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) and 474 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) will assist their officers for Milad security.
Five teams of Elite Force and 10 teams of Quick Response Force (QRF) have also been deputed for thorough and continuous patrolling especially in sensitive areas of the district, the CPO added.
