Two Bills Referred To Concerned Committees

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th july, 2016) : Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani referred two separate bills to concerned committees here on Monday. The first bill moved by Senator Karim Khawaja was to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (The Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2016 (substitution of Article of 28). The mover described the bill as beneficial to protect regional languages, but Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid pointed out some areas for improvement and suggested the bill may be reviewed.
Thus, the bill was referred to the concerned committee.
The second bill moved by Senator Chaudhry Tanvir Khan was to curb inherited blood disorder and birth defects (the Premarital Blood Screening (Family Laws Amendment) Bill 2016. Minister for Law Zahid Hamid said though it was a good bill but he was of the view it had some technical and financial problems, though the same should be referred to concerned committees to rectify and resolve those hitches.
