Two field workers were tortured to death allegedly by land owners in two different villages
HAFIZABAD,UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2018 ) :Two field workers were tortured to death allegedly by land owners in two different villages. A 40-year-old field worker in Ghanian village was tortured to death by two landlords when he demanded his wages from them.
According to police sources, deceased Arshad Ali had been working in the fields of landlords Nasir Ali and Akhtar Ali, sons of Muhammad Bashir for the last 8 years. He demanded some amount from the accused.
On the issue they exchanged harsh words. Later on, the accused beat him with clubs.
As a result, he fell unconscious and was shifted to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Jalalpur Bhattian police have registered a case against the accused and arrested Nasir Ali, while Akhter Ali managed to escape from the scene.
In another incident, one Muhammad Irfan, a harvester helper, was thrashed by the land owners, Hassan Ali, Imtiaz and Imdad, in Kot Sarwar village. Later on, he succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
