US Suspends $1.66Bln in Security Assistance to Pakistan - Pentagon

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) The United States has suspended a total of $1.66 billion in security assistance to Pakistan, Department of Defense spokesperson Col. Rob Manning told reporters.

"$1.66 billion of security assistance to Pakistan is suspended," Manning said on Tuesday.

In January, the State Department announced that the United States would suspend $900 million in security assistance to Pakistan until it does more to combat the Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network terrorist groups (both banned in Russia).
