Voters To Be Provided Peaceful Atmosphere: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Hasan Askari on Tuesday said that peaceful environment would be ensured at every cost to hold free and transparent election.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Hasan Askari on Tuesday said that peaceful environment would be ensured at every cost to hold free and transparent election.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting with Chief Secretary Akbar Durani and IG Police Kalim Imam at Chief Minister's Office, here.
Dr. Askari said that according to the directions of Election Commission and in line with relevant rules and regulations, best arrangements were being made for the upcoming election.
He said that administration and police would play a neutral role in Punjab and all the political parties would be provided equal opportunities in general election.
The caretaker government would perform election duty in the best manner, he said and directed that police and administration should ensure to discharge government affairs in the professional manner and pressure or interference of any sort should not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister said that impartiality of administration and police would be the conspicuous proof of their best performance.
Holding of election was a national obligation and every official of police and administration wouldhave to play its role in this regard, concluded the Chief Minister.
