Women Role In Labor Force Necessary:minister

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :Punjab Minister for Women Development Department Ashifa Riaz Fatyana on Tuesday said that 50 percent of the population comprises of women and it is of utmost importance that they play an equally effective part in the labour force.

She said this during her visit to the Job Asaan, a model intervention launched by Punjab Commission on the Status of Women to increase female labour force participation in Punjab. She was briefed by the Chairperson PCSW Fouzia Viqar about the initiatives taken by the program.

The Provincial Minister met the team and career experts working in Job Asaan and appreciated their efforts and contribution. She further said that a most conducive atmosphere would be created for women in every field so that they could play their role with full confidence and courage, adding that there is a need to further sensitize the women community about their rights so that they could confidently counter any unjust move in society.
