WSSP's Muharram Plan Complete Successfully

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Sep, 2018 ) :The Water and Sanitation Company Peshawar (WSSP) cleanliness plan in regard of Moharram procession has successfully been completed here on Sunday.
A total of 532 sanitary staff and 28 vehicles were deployed round the clock to clean-up streets, procession routes and important places from 1st Moharram to 10th Moharram said the spokesman.
Special monitoring committees were constituted headed by Zonal Managers, Water Supply Managers and Operational Manager. Surprise inspections were carried out by the Company's Chief Executive Officer Engr. Khan Zaib Khan to ensure full implementation over the cleanliness plan.
A total of 300 sanitary staff, 226 water supply staffers and 28 vehicles were deployed in three shifts on the routes of Muharram processions, important places and cleanliness of narrow streets around the city.
All small and big drain lines, construction material and debris were cleaned-up before the start of Muharram over the directives issued by the CEO instructing relevant staff to ensure neat and clean city where strict action would be taken against those found negligent in discharging their duties.
Apart from cleanliness drive, special emphases were put to ensure clean drinking water supply to all households in the city. To immediately redress public complaints, 24 hour presence was insured by the WSSP at the Central Command Post set-up by the District Administration.
Commenting over the appreciations coming from government, District Administration and local residents, Khan Zaib Khan said that it is our utmost priority to keep Peshawar city clean form all sortof solid waste and ensure clean drinking supply to household.
