The Zil Hajj moon was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan and the Eid ul Azha would be observed in the country on September 2
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Aug, 2017 ) : The Zil Hajj moon was not sighted anywhere in Pakistan and the Eid ul Azha would be observed in the country on September 2. This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, here on Tuesday.
Earlier, he chaired the meeting of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee for the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon. Later, Mufti Munib announced that there was no evidence of sighting of the Zil Hajj moon from anywhere in the country. As such, the first of Zil Hajj will be on August 24. Accordingly, the Eid ul Azha will be celebrated in the country on September 2, he further announced.
