ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) :The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday sought a reply from the Ministry of Interior and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a plea of Advisor to Prime Minister Syed Zulfi Bukhari for removal of his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani of the IHC heard the petition.
During the course of proceedings, the petitioner's counsel contended that the decision regarding placing his client's name on the ECL was illegal and restriction on his international travel was violation of human rights.
He prayed the court to issue directives to the interior ministry and NAB for removal of Bukhari's name from the ECL and returning his travel documents, including passport.
After hearing the arguments the court served notices to the Ministry of Interior, Federal Investigation Agency Director General and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman.
