BIRMINGHAM, United Kingdom, , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Aug, 2017 ) - West Indies were 13 for one in reply to England's first innings 514 for eight declared at tea on the second day of the first Test at Edgbaston on Friday.
Kieran Powell was five not out and Kyle Hope seven not out in what was the first day/night Test staged in England.
Earlier Alastair Cook top-scored with 243, his fourth Test double century, before his dismissal saw England captain Joe Root declare shortly before the end of the second session.
Cook was lbw on review to off-spinner Roston Chase, who led West Indies' attack with four wickets for 113 runs in 26.2 overs. This fixture, the 50th Test staged at Edgbaston, is the first of three-match series.
