Hockey Trials From Feb 22 At Karachi

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2017 ) - Final trials for the selection of Pakistan junior hockey team for the tour of New Zealand and Australia will be held from February 22 at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, Karachi on February.
"Currently the players are undergoing training at Lahore and the two days trials be enough to judge their potential and performance for selecting a side purely on merit", said a spokesman of Pakistan Hockey Federation while talking to APP here on Thursday.
The selected team will first proceed to New Zealand in the early days of April to play a 4 test series against New Zealand's junior team. "From New Zealand, the national junior side will fly to Australia where it will be participating in the highly competitive Australian National Junior Championships", he added.
The Names of the selected players would be announced a few days later after the approval of President, PHF ,Brig retd Khalid Sajjad Khokhar.
