Proton Rockets Launch Operator Company ILS to Become Roscosmos Subsidiary - Rogozin

The International Launch Services (ILS) company, a commercial operator of launches of Russia's Proton and Rokot carrier rockets, will be put out of the Russian Khrunichev Space Center structure and become a subsidiary of state space corporation Roscosmos, Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin told Sputnik

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th November, 2018) The International Launch Services (ILS) company, a commercial operator of launches of Russia's Proton and Rokot carrier rockets, will be put out of the Russian Khrunichev Space Center structure and become a subsidiary of state space corporation Roscosmos, Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin told Sputnik.

"There is a subsidiary, ILS that used to be an operator on the market of space launches Proton and Rokot rockets. The company was a subsidiary of the Khrunichev Space Center. Now we are taking this company and it will become a subsidiary of Roscosmos," Rogozon said.

The Khrunichev Space Center designs and produces space-launch vehicles, including heavy-lift vehicles of the Proton family of boosters and the Angara carrier rockets, along with lightweight Rockot launch vehicle.
