Kremlin Confirms Receiving Telegram From Assad With Condolences Over Il-20 Crash In Syria

The Kremlin has received a telegram of Syrian President Bashar Assad expressing the condolences in connection with the crash of Russian Il-20 military aircraft in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2018) The Kremlin has received a telegram of Syrian President Bashar Assad expressing the condolences in connection with the crash of Russian Il-20 military aircraft in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the SANA news agency reported that Assad had sent a telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin expressing his condolences over the tragic incident and expressing the hope that it would not become a reason to stop the fight against terrorism in Syria.
"The telegram has been received," Peskov told reporters.
