US Energy Secretary Rick Perry will discuss with Russian officials the US opposition to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and safety of nuclear weapons during his upcoming trip to Moscow, Department of Energy spokesperson Shaylyn Hynes told Sputnik on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) US Energy Secretary Rick Perry will discuss with Russian officials the US opposition to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and safety of nuclear weapons during his upcoming trip to Moscow, Department of Energy spokesperson Shaylyn Hynes told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"During his visit, Secretary Perry plans to engage with his Russian counterparts as well as stakeholders in the region on a variety of issues ranging from the Administration's staunch opposition to the Nord Stream II pipeline to cyber-attacks on the electric grid and the integrity and safety of Russia's nuclear weapons," Hynes said.
