Pompeo Cancels Visit To Moscow To Go To Brussels Ahead Of Sochi Talks - Reports

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 13th May, 2019) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has skipped his Moscow visit and gone to Brussels instead, but will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Sochi as scheduled, media reported Monday.

Late Sunday, Pompeo left for Brussels to discuss several urgent topics, including the Iranian problem, with his UK, German and French partners, CNN reported, citing an official at the US State Department.

After Brussels, Pompeo will proceed to Sochi to meet with Putin and Lavrov on Tuesday, the media added.

�The US top diplomat is expected to address a wide range of global issues, including Venezuela, Iran, Syria and North Korea, in talks with Putin and Lavrov.
