Qatar To Invest $45Bln In US Over 2 Years - Investment Authority

DOHA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 13th January, 2019) Qatar Investment Authority plans to rebalance it portfolio, moving $45 billion to the United States, its chief executive Mansoor Bin Ebrahim Mahmoud said Sunday.
"We are talking about $45 billion in US investment that we plan to allocate over the next couple of years," the top executive told reporters at the US-Qatari Strategic Dialogue in Doha.
He said the sovereign welfare fund considered its EU investment to be excessive and wanted to rebalance the portfolio away from Europe.
The fund has around $30 billion in US investments as well as shares in EU's major businesses, including Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Volkswagen and London Stock Exchange.
