Russia Moves Nearly 20 Air-Launched Kinzhal Hypersonic Missiles To Testing Site - Reports

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) US intelligence has concluded that Russia has transported almost 20 of its revolutionary Kinzhal, or "Dagger" air-launched hypersonic missiles to a testing site, American media reported.
The move marks a significant stage in the new weapon's development, CNBC said on Thursday.
The Kinzhal has been successfully tested at least three times and in July 2018 it was successfully fired at a target 500 miles away, the report said. It is currently scheduled to become operational next year.
The hypersonic missile has been test-fired 12 times from a MiG-31 fighter jet and is being prepared to be also deployed on a strategic bomber, according to the report.
