MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) The Russian and Syrian coordination staffs invite the United States and Jordan to take part in a meeting on measures to dismantle the Rukban camp on March 26, the staffs said in a joint statement Friday.

"We invite representatives of the US command in the At Tanf zone, as well as the US diplomatic corps in Jordan to attend the coordination meeting and to ensure the presence of tribal sheikhs from the camp," the statement said, adding that Amman representatives were also invited to attend the meeting.

If the event is not held on March 26, it will be postponed to April 2 or April 9,the statement added.

The staffs have also decided to offer the representatives of the United States, Jordan and the United Nations to join Russia and Syria in forming a working group to assess the situation in the camp. The staffs also suggest that the safety of the working group be ensured by the Russian and US troops, the statement added.
