US, Russia Make Progress On Afghanistan, North Korea, Counterterrorism - State Department

The United States and Russia have made headway during diplomatic talks on a range of issues including Afghanistan, North Korea and counterterrorism, a senior State department official told reporters on Friday ahead of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's trip to Moscow and Sochi
"We have made progress in a number of areas," the official said, adding that the two countries have "open channels of communication" on a range of key issues including Afghanistan, North Korea, and counterterrorism.
