Venezuela Orders Colombian Diplomats Out In 24 Hours - Foreign Ministry

ST. GEORGE'S (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th February, 2019) The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that Colombian diplomats must leave the country in 24 hours following Caracas' decision to sever diplomatic relations amid the growing crisis around unauthorized aid deliveries to Venezuela.

Earlier in the day, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that the country cut off diplomatic and political relations with Colombia, which hosts one of the hubs for humanitarian aid deliveries to Venezuela.

"Diplomats and consular staff of Colombia have 24 hours starting with the publication of this statement to leave the country," the ministry said.

According to the ministry, the United States and Colombia organized a propaganda show on the Venezuelan-Colombian border, violating UN norms and endangering peace in the country and the region.
