US sanctions against Russia will harm international trade, such restrictions are unfriendly and illegal actions, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"We know that the bill has been prepared, we know the text of this bill, it has been published on relevant internet resources. We have studied it with great attention, we believe that this is the continuation of unfriendly and illegal actions from the point of view of international law Such restrictions, of course, damage the entire international trade," Peskov told reporters.
The spokesman noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin still hoped to for the best and sought to resolve the crisis in Russia-US relations.
"The Russian president still wants to resolve the deepest crisis faced by our bilateral relations. He himself has repeatedly said it. Such intentions remain. But at the same time, no one is going to fall into despair if our desires are not reciprocated by Washington," Peskov said.
