132 People Affected By Dengue Virus This Year: Report

The focal person for Dengue Control Cell, Dr Tariq Hassan, has said that during the ongoing year, 36 points were detected with active dengue larvae and 132 patients were diagnosed with dengue virus symptoms across the district.
SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Aug, 2018 ) :The focal person for Dengue Control Cell, Dr Tariq Hassan, has said that during the ongoing year, 36 points were detected with active dengue larvae and 132 patients were diagnosed with dengue virus symptoms across the district.
He shared the data in a meeting on Friday, which was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Finance Shafqat Ullah Mushtaq.
The chances of dengue virus increase in the Monsoon season and the departments concerned should take up the matter on priority basis, he added.
The focal person said that 501 surveillance teams of the Health Department had been performing duty in 167 union councils across the district.
He said that during current year 1,791,310 homes, 3,403,154 in-door containers, 552,681 outdoor places and 756,569 outdoorcontainers were also checked.
