Fine Imposed On Lab Over Fake Blood Test Report In Lahore

The Punjab Healthcare Commission Monday imposed Rs 150,000 fine on a laboratory for giving fake blood test report, and working without a licence issued by the PHC.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab Healthcare Commission Monday imposed Rs 150,000 fine on a laboratory for giving fake blood test report, and working without a licence issued by the PHC.
According to available information, one Muhammad Amjad had submitted a complaint with the PHC, stating that he had got his blood tested from the Pearl Laboratory Burewala, in which hepatitis C positive was declared in the report.
But after more investigation, it was learnt that the report was issued without any proper tests, alleged Amjad.
The PHC investigation found the complaint correct and thus imposed Rs 100,000 fine on the laboratory for giving a fake report and not getting a licence from the PHC. Rs 50,000 fine was imposed on its main branch in Lahore for issuing a fake report on its letter head and not appointing qualified staff.
Another facility, Arsalan Lab Burewala, was fined Rs 30,000 for not getting registration and licence from the PHC.
