PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :The district administration Dir Lower on Wednesday held a walk to create awareness among the people about dengue fever and its prevention.
The walk has been launched in line with the directive of Deputy Commissioner Capt� Aun Haider Gondal which was led by District Health Officer(DHO) Dr Irshad Ali Roghani.
A large number of local people, polio workers, lady health workers and representatives of the local government participated in the walk.
The participants were holding banners and placards inscribed with information about preventive measures to avoid the risk of dengue.
Speaking on the occasion, the DHO said that the purpose of the walk was to educate people about the precautionary measures to save themselves from the mosquito-borne disease which usually spread in such season.
He stressed the need for keeping homes and surroundings clean to deny breeding grounds to mosquitoes.
He advised the people to use mosquito nets, mosquito repellents and avoid wearing clothes having short sleeves.
