Demos, Clashes In Pulwama, Kulgam Areas During CASOs

Forceful demonstrations Thursday erupted after Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Kulgam areas According to Kashmir Media Service, as soon as the troops launched an operation in Drubgam area of Pulwama district, people took to the streets and staged massive protests.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Forceful demonstrations Thursday erupted after Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Pulwama and Kulgam areas According to Kashmir Media Service, as soon as the troops launched an operation in Drubgam area of Pulwama district, people took to the streets and staged massive protests.
The troops used brute force to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes in the area.
Massive protests also broke out during a cordon and search operation by the troops in Khudwani area of Kulgam district.
The troops used batons and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
This led to the fierce clashes between the demonstrators and the troops.
Meanwhile, Indian police arrested several contractual employees when they tried to hold a protest march in Srinagar to press for their demands.
