Indian Civil Society Cries Over Recent Violence, Massacre In IOK

The fast-deteriorating situation in Indian-held Jammu Kashmir state following the recent renewed wave of extreme violence and state terrorism unleashed against the innocent Kashmiris in the occupied valley have even pained the Indian civil society.
MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Oct, 2018 ) ,:The fast-deteriorating situation in Indian-held Jammu Kashmir state following the recent renewed wave of extreme violence and state terrorism unleashed against the innocent Kashmiris in the occupied valley have even pained the Indian civil society.
In a joint statement top Indian Civil Society stalwarts representing various segments including Wajahat Habibullah, Yashwant Sinha, Kapil Kak, Bharat Bhushan, Sushobha Barve said in a statement that we are deeply pained at the recent escalation of violence in Kashmir and at the loss of innocent civilians lives, said a report received here Tuesday from across the line of control.
The "local body elections" could have been planned with sensitive political forethought and as part of a consultative process for more inclusive and extensive participation.
The issue of J&K is so sensitive that it is a sin to use it for petty political gains.
The situation is deteriorating by the day in that state and the Indian Govt.
remains unconcerned. This policy will only lead to disaster", they concluded inthe joint statement, according to the report.
