Maryam Al Mehairi Visits Al Noor Training Centre For People With Disabilities

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 19th May, 2019) Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mehairi, Minister of State for food Security, visited Al Noor Training Centre for people with disabilities (People of Determination) to enhance social responsibility as a part of "My Community City for everyone" initiative.
Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman of Al Noor Centre, Ian Fairservice, Vice Chairman, as well as Al Noor board members, received the minister who visited classrooms and spent time with students. She was introduced to the latest approaches and strategies that are used at the centre.
A media team of People of Determination took interview of the minister, where she confirmed her keenness to support people with disabilities.
She also visited Vocational Training Units at Al Noor- Wood Technology Department, Fashion Technology Department, Printing Technology Department and Bakery, which provides life skills to students with disabilities. She was introduced to the work and products that are handcrafted by the students.
Al Noor Training Centre for persons with disabilities, one of the oldest and largest centres, provides care and professional training since last 38 years to approximately 210 children from 35 different nationalities.
