
12 Arrested For Selling Sub-standard Chips In Kurram Agency

PARACHINAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Augst,2016) : The political administration of Kurram Agency have arrested over dozen of shopkeepers for selling sub-standard potato chips here on Friday. On the directives of Assistant Political Agent Shahid Ali Khan, tehsildars and personnel of Levies Force raided shops in Parachinar and adjoining areas, selling sub-standard foods and locally made potato chips and arrested over dozen of shopkeepers.
The political administration launched crackdown after about 200 schoolchildren in Kamran area fell unconscious following eating poisonous potato chips in Parachinar during last two days.
They were rushed to the agency headquarter hospital for medical treatment and were later discharged. The agency political administration sealed the shops and initiated investigation.
