12 Dead, 993 Injured In 876 Road Traffic Crashes

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 987 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

In these RTCs 12 people died, whereas 1089 were injured.

Out of the injured 645 were seriously injured requiring shifting to different hospitals.

Whereas, 432 minor injured victims were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams thus reducing the burden of Hospitals.

The statistics show that 258 accidents were reported in Lahore with 254 victims, 84 in Faisalabad with 95 injured and 63 in Multan with 61 victims.

According to the data, 830 motorbikes, 138 auto rickshaws, 92 motorcars, 51 vans, 12 passenger buses, 25 trucks and 114 other types of auto vehicles and slow movingcarts were involved in aforesaid road traffic accidents.
