17491 Vehicles Checked, 789 Impounded In Road Checking Drive: Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla

As many as 17491 vehicles were checked while 660 vehicles were impounded due to non availability of documents and other reasons during road checking campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles by Sindh Excise and Taxation Department across Sindh

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2019 ) :As many as 17491 vehicles were checked while 660 vehicles were impounded due to non availability of documents and other reasons during road checking campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles by Sindh Excise and Taxation Department across Sindh.

The documents of 1282 vehicles were confiscated and the amount of Rs 8687377 were also recovered under different heads, during the campaign, said a statement on Thursday.

Sindh Minister for Excise, Taxation, Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has congratulated the officers and officials of Excise Department and expressed his hope that they would continue their efforts for collection of the taxes.
