Police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 46 lawbreakers including 17 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) and nine fireworks dealers, besides recovering 1770 grams charras, 83 liters liquor, six bottles of liquor, three 30 bore pistols with 758 rounds, 100 rounds of 44 bore, 14 rounds of 9mm and fireworks items from their possession

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2019 ) :Police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 46 lawbreakers including 17 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) and nine fireworks dealers, besides recovering 1770 grams charras, 83 liters liquor, six bottles of liquor, three 30 bore pistols with 758 rounds, 100 rounds of 44 bore, 14 rounds of 9mm and fireworks items from their possession.

Accoridng to a police spokesman, Sadiqabad police held Dilbar Khan for having 100 grams charras. Bani police rounded up Zulfiqar and recovered 485 grams charras. Mandra police netted Mehmood for carrying 185 grams charras.

Saddar Baroni police recovered 15 liters liquor from the possession of Faisal while Taxila police seized 10 liters liquor and arrested Suleman. City police arrested Ahsan with 10 liters liquor and RA Bazaar police held Asad with 10 liters liquor.

Mandra police managed to arrest two fireworks dealers namely Iqbal and Mushtaq, Westridge police apprehended Ahsan, Afaq and Huzaifa, Waris Khan police held Abid, Sadiqabad police netted Nazakat and Bani police nabbed Danish and Arif, fireworks dealers and seized huge quantity of fireworks items from their possession.

Other accused were sent behind the bars for having liquor, weapons and drugs.

Meanwhile, Rawat, Saddar Baroni, Kotli Sattlian, Mandra, Kalar Syedan, Murree, Westridge, Race Course, Airport, Gungmandi and Waris Khan police conducted raids in different areas and rounded up 17 POs including three most wanted criminals namely Farhan, Raheem and Jazab Tufail.

Separate cases have been registered against all the accused while further investigations are underway.
