700 School Teacher Posts Lying Vacant In Abbottabad: District Education Officer (DEO) Qazi Tajammal

After changes in syllabus, around 700 teachers of district got retirement and more than 100 schools have only one teacher, said District Education Officer (DEO) Qazi Tajammal while addressing Urdu declamation competition here Monday.
ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :After changes in syllabus, around 700 teachers of district got retirement and more than 100 schools have only one teacher, said District Education Officer (DEO) Qazi Tajammal while addressing urdu declamation competition here Monday.
He said that 700 posts of teachers are lying vacant only in Abbottabad district as on duty teachers were not familiar with the modern teaching techniques and resigned.
Talking about the education policies of PTI in the province, DEO Qazi Tajammal said PTI brought a revolutionary change in the education sector and during last two years we have provided furniture worth 120 million rupees to the schools of district.
He said to improve quality of education we have also provided 10 million rupees for the science laboratories in 73 schools of the district.
He maintained that at present 111,000 students were studying in government educational institutions while more than 4000 students of private schools have also got admissions in the government schools.
Qazi Tajjamal said we were equipping the students and schools as well according to the modern educational techniques and has provided IT labs to 23 male and 21 female schools of the district. We have also provided the facility of grounds for the extracurricular activities in the Primary schools.
To ensure attendance in the middle and higher secondary schools, soon we would install biometric system and the process for purchasing the equipment was in progress, DEO said.
