AIGP Hyderabad Assures Stern Action Against Extortion

The Additional Inspector General of Police Hyderabad Region, Dr. Waliullah Dal, has made it clear that extortion was unacceptable and assured that stern action will be initiated against those outlaws who were involved in the crime
He held out such assurance while talking to business community at a reception hosted by Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here at its secretariat on Thursday.
He said that the Police in Hyderabad region have been engaged in rooting out the crimes and curbing the activities of criminals which bringing fruitful results in maintenance of law and order.
About the issue of traffic jam in Hyderabad, the AIGP said that all out efforts were being made to address the issue faced by the citizens particularly the business community of Hyderabad adding that the traffic signals were being replaced with solar system as the flow of traffic was being disturbed due to closure of signals in load shedding hours.
The AIGP underlined the need of creating awareness of traffic rules among the citizens particularly the drivers of public transport and loaders vehicles. The traffic system of Hyderabad was being reviewed thoroughly and the same would be improved soon with proper training of Traffic Police on moral grounds, he added.
About closure of public transport points in thickly populated areas, the AIGP informed that these points have been closed on the orders of Sindh High Court. He on the occasion, asked the Senior Superintendent of Police Hyderabad to convene the meeting of HCCI Police Liaison Committee for addressing the issues being faced by the business community. The Senior Vice President HCCI Fahad Hussain Shaikh in his welcome address, highlighted the activities of the chamber and also apprised the issues being faced by the business community of Hyderabad.
