AJK To Utilize All Resources For Uplift Of Tourism Industry

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2016 ) , Dec 13 (APP): Secretary Information and Tourism of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Mansoor Qadir Dar Tuesday said all available resources would be utilized for the promotion of tourism industry in the liberated territory.
Addressing Tourism Department officials in Kotli, Dar said AJK was enriched with huge natural potential of tourism. The state government, he added, would turn AJK most attractive spot for the tourists both from home and abroad.
He said under construction projects of tourism in various parts of the AJK would be completed on priority as it was the top priority of the newly elected government for the promotion of tourism in the AJK.
"Removal of the hurdles in the way of ongoing projects of tourism is top most priority of government", the Secretary underlined adding that requisite funds were being placed for the completion of the development projects in tourism.
Mansoor Qadir Dar also directed authorities concerned that the land reserved for tourism park near Poonch river in Tattapani in Kotli district should be made viable for the attraction of tourists.
He announced to host the capacity building training workshops for the officers of the Tourism Department of the AJK to ensure their vibrant role in their professional field primarily aimed at to make tourism the strong source for the economy of the state.
Earlier, Dar visited tourism, information office, rest houses of Kuiratta, Tattapan, Nar,Dongi, Holar Tourism Resorts and Damool sports Complex.
