Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi Arrests Constable For Taking Bribe

Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi Region on Wednesday arrested a Constable namely Ansar Butt posted in CIA Jhelum for taking Rs 10,000 bribe.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2018 ) :Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi Region on Wednesday arrested a Constable namely Ansar Butt posted in CIA Jhelum for taking Rs 10,000 bribe.
According to details, on the directive of Director Anti Corruption Rawalpindi Region Arif Raheem, CO/ACE Jhelum Mumtaz Ahmad Makeen conducted a tap raid and netted the accused Ansar Butt red handed who was taking Rs 10,000 bribe money from a citizen.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of raiding magistrate Bilal Iftikhar. The accused was also allegedly involved in threatening the citizens that he would involve them in cases. Upon complaint to Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab (ACEP), a trap raid was carried out to net the accused.
A case has been registered against the accused in Police Station Anti-Corruption while the constable has been set to police station for further legal proceedings.
Director Anti-Corruption Rawalpindi Region Arif Raheem informed APP that on the special directive of Director General, Anti-Corruption Punjab (ACP), the ACEP is making efforts to eliminate corruption and injustice from the society.
He said, the Punjab government is committed to root out corruption from the government organizations. The present team of ACEP is striving hard on the most contemporary methods of investigation by connecting all the regions with the Headquarters through a computer Networking system and updating fresh data of all cases and inquiries on daily basis.
The ACEP was striving for making the organization more public friendly, effective and trustworthy so that the corruption could be controlled and curtailed.
