
Anti-polio Drive From August 29

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) : A Three-day Anti- Polio Campaign would be launched in the district from August 29,during campaign 3,23,340 children of below the age of five- year would be administered Polio drops.
Presiding a meeting in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ghanwar Ali Laghari said that negligence during the campaign would not be tolerated. He warned supervisor would face action in case polio team does not visit the prescribed area or any child remains unattended by the team.
He said that no one would be allowed to play with the lives of builders of future. Deputy Commissioner appealed elders of villages and parents to cooperate with the polio teams and intimate office of DC in case Polio team does not visit the area.
District Health Officer Dr Bahadur Khero briefing the meeting said that 775 teams formed in this regard would visit nook and corner of the district, bus stops and railway stations. The teams would be monitored by 56 Medical officers and 165 area in-charges.
The meeting was also attended by SSP Tanweer Hussain Tunio, Medical Superintendent Dr Tufail Ahmed Balcoh, District Health Officer Dr Bahadur Khero, Additional DC Syed Hassan Raza, officials of information department, education department, representatives of NGOs, police and concerned officers.
