Deputy Commissioner Sibi Mir Afzal Owaisi Monday said Independence Day would be celebrated with zeal and fevour across Sibi.
QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Aug, 2018 ) :Deputy Commissioner Sibi Mir Afzal Owaisi Monday said Independence Day would be celebrated with zeal and fevour across Sibi.
He said this while chairing a meeting to review preparation of Independence Day, said press release here.
DC Mir Afzal said decorating and lighting of government building and markets would be ensured regarding Independence Day in the area.
"Speech and sports competitions will be organized among various schools of students to highlight importance of August 14 Day, despite holding national songs and tablo to be made in the area", he added.
He said hosting of national flags would be held at Circuit House and rural areas of Sibi at 8 am, saying that Assistant Commissioner could arrange motorcycle rally in order to celebrate Independence Day in the area.
"Measures will be taken to provide shopkeepers facilitates to set colorful installs of National Flags for selling, stickers, caps, T-shirts and bands barring logo of national flags at various crowded places", he added.
Mir Afzal said about 32000 trees to be planted on Independence Day and urged officials and all segment of society to take participation of campaign of tree plantation while plating of tree is virtue.
He also directed relative authority to take measures to ensure cleansing of city.
Deputy Additional Commissioner Sibi, Abass Malik, District education Officer (DEO) Abdul Sattar, District Forest Officer Sibi, Divisional Director Development, Assistant Commissioner Lehri, District Health Officer, other officials of department and law enforcement agencies attended the meeting.
