Bajaur To Become Beautiful City Under Clean, Green Pakistan Drive: Mehmood Ahmed

Deputy Commissioner Bajaur tribal district Mehmood Ahmed has said that the Prime Minister's Clean and Green Pakistan drive will help to make the district cleanest and beautiful area among tribal districts.
BAJAUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2018 ) :Deputy Commissioner Bajaur tribal district Mehmood Ahmed has said that the Prime Minister's Clean and Green Pakistan drive will help to make the district cleanest and beautiful area among tribal districts.
This he said while addressing the launching ceremony of clean and green Pakistan campaign held at civil colony Khar here.
The ceremony was attended by people from different walks of life, including tribal elders, political and social activists and officials of the administration and forest deportment.
Member National Assembly Gul Zafar Khan was also present on the occasion who latter spoke to the audience.
Divisional forest officer Hayat Ali briefed the participants about the Clean and Green Pakistan drive and said that scheme was the Federal government's initiative to make Pakistan clean and green by planting maximum trees across the country.
The participants were told that the main idea of the scheme was to boost forestation in the country to address the challenges of climate changes effectively.
Ali said that climate changes was becoming a serious challenges to the country as Pakistan was the seventh most vulnerable country to global warming.
He said that forestation was the only and durable tools to fight against the climate changes and global warming.
The official said that condition of forestation in Bajaur was better than other tribal districts and efforts were under way to make it further boost.
He said the forest department had planned to plant at least two million trees in the district under the Prime Minister's Clean and Green Pakistan campaign in next two months.
The deputy commissioner said the administration has decided to make Bajaur the cleanest and beautiful region of the country and efforts are under way for the purpose.
He said that Clean and Green Pakistan drive was meant to aware the people about the importance of plantation.
He called upon the participants to make Clean and Green Pakistan drive successful by playing their due role to make the people aware of their respective areas.
