Ch Nisar dodges question about joining PTI

Says his decision will be a good one

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th June, 2018) Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had called a corner meeting in Adiala Jail on Monday and invited some journalists and party members.

Nisar asked the journalists to turns off their mobile phones and cameras and said that I am going to say something very important today.

Announcing to contest elections as independent candidate, Nisar said that the opponent of women’s rule has imposed his daughter over the party. The Sharifs will not be able to show their face anywhere if I opened my mouth, he said.

Nisar said that the party has awarded tickets to political orphans.

According to a report on a local tv channel, when Ch Nisar was asked about joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he asked the journalists to pay attention to elections. I will take a good decision.

Nisar submitted nomination papers for one National and two Provincial Assembly seats on Sunday.

The PMLN leader submitted nomination papers from Rawalpindi’s NA-59 and PP-10 and PP-12.

According to media reports, Ch Nisar has decided to contest elections as independent candidate. Nisar is hopeful that he will win from these seats as independent candidate.

Earlier on Sunday, Nisar said that dramas are being staged to deny him party ticket for the upcoming general election, scheduled to be held on July 25.

"It is beyond understanding why funny dramas are being staged to make an excuse for denying him the party ticket," he said in a statement.

Nisar said he was neither a candidate for the party ticket nor was in its need, adding that he would express his views on 'all matters' openly after fully recovering from the back-pain.

"Has it ever-happened that most senior members of the party, who had been electable for several times, will have appeared before the board for party ticket interview," he questioned.
