Chinese companies keen to invest in industrial projects in Hyderabad

The Director United Work Department Chine Mao Chaoyin Wednesday said that Hyderabad possessed potential for rapid industrial growth and the Chinese Companies were ready to make investment in different industrial projects.

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :The Director United Work Department Chine Mao Chaoyin Wednesday said that Hyderabad possessed potential for rapid industrial growth and the Chinese Companies were ready to make investment in different industrial projects.

Mao Chaoyin, also the Member of Standing Committee of Nan Chuan District Chongqing of China expressed these remarks while talking to members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) at its Secretariat and hold meeting with the Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch at Shahbaz Hall along with 22 member delegation of representatives of Chinese companies here.

He said both China and Pakistan were enjoying brotherly relations and the Chinese investors were keen to make their investment in various projects in Pakistan.

He said 22 member delegation mostly representing different companies of China were on introductory tour of Hyderabad Division and interested to make joint venture with local companies of Hyderabad.

He said that prime objective of the visit of the delegates was to get details and business perspective so that they could make investment in various projects particularly energy sector in Hyderabad.

The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a game changer which would also facilitate Hyderabad, he said and added that the visiting delegates also wanted to share their expertise and experience in people oriented projects.

The Ex-President HCCI Goharullah while representing the business community of Hyderabad said that Hyderabad has great potential for industrial growth and with investment of the Chinese companies, the industries of the area would get a rapid boost.

Senior Vice President HCCI Fahad Hussain Shaikh in his welcome address expressed hope that the General Chamber of Commerce of Chongqing China will continue to contribute to economic development of Hyderabad by introducing technology and investment.

He said Hyderabad was an agricultural city having fertile cultivable land in its vicinity which was rich to produce wheat, cotton, vegetables and fresh fruits like mango, banana, guava and chiku. The cotton lint, yarn and textile, fresh fruits are exported from Hyderabad, he added.

He said that the industrialists of Hyderabad had already engaged in manufacturing two wheels and three wheels motorcycles and rickshaws through joint venture of Chinese companies and now they were interested to extend cooperation in steel mills, textile and clothing as well as real estate development, education and training, municipal construction and waste disposal.

He hoped that the visit of the Chinese delegates would be a source of inspiration amongst the business and industrial community of Hyderabad and would also go long way in building up strong bilateral trade relationship between the two brotherly nations.

The visit of Chinese delegates would also be helpful for business and industrial community of Hyderabad to export their manufactured goods to Chinese markets as there were vast opportunities to increase trade volume between the two countries in near future, he added.

He said that Hyderabad has also a large numbers of agro-based industries including textile, garments as well as two and three wheelers automobile manufacturing and assembling plants which were using Chinese technology, he said and added that the engines and parts were also being imported from China.

Hyderabad was still a city of attraction for foreign investment, he said and added that there was a vital scope of investment in power sector, coal mining particularly Thar coal and other.

During the meeting at Shahbaz Building, the Commissioner Hyderabad Muhammad Abbas Baloch gave details of Hyderabad division and informed the delegation that Hyderabad had rich agricultural land and grows mangos, cotton and also exports them. Besides, Hyderabad was very much peaceful and has good weather conditions thus it was not only attracting the businessmen of other parts of the country but also the foreign investors as well, he said.

The Commissioner said Hyderabad division which comprised of nine districts was also culturally rich and its historical places like Fort of Rani Kot, Gorakh Hill, shrines of Sufi saints and other beautiful sites had great attractions for tourists.

The Hyderabad division also the producer of oil and gas as well, he informed.

The Chinese delegates also held meeting with Mayor Hyderabad Sayed Tayab Hussain where the Mayor briefed him about different industrial opportunity as well as civic infrastructure of Hyderabad.
