Chitral Residents Urge To Resume Of Work On Key Roads

ISLAMABAD, Mar 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Mar, 2023 ) :Chitral Development Moment (CDM) has been working to improve the deplorable condition of roads and bridges across Chitral through the mobilization of civil society.
The vast and extensive district of Chitral is still deprived of road and bridge facilities and it is one of the reasons for backwardness, poverty, unemployment, and feeling of deprivation, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
The Chairman of CDM, Waqas Ahmed Advocate, President ANP Alhaj Eid Al Hussain, Liaquat Ali Khan, Inayatullah Asir, Safdar, and other dignitaries spoke at the inauguration of CDM's Central Office and expressed concern over the lack of attention given to the roads of Chitral.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lower Chitral Muhammad Ali Khan, expressed his determination to sensitize all relevant departments and institutions, including NHA, to pay attention to Chitral's roads.
He emphasized that an integrated system and network of roads are essential for the development of the area.
DC stated that civil officers are the servants of the people, and their doors will always be open for the public round the clock.
Member CDM, Sajidullah Advocate moved a resolution at the ceremony that demanded the completion of the approach road on the Chitral side of Lowari Top, and the resumption of work on Kalash Valley Road and Bonny Road.
Earlier, the CDM office at Al Hussain Plaza was formally inaugurated by DC Lower Chitral Muhammad Ali Khan.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of dignitaries from the city.
