Committee Reviews Development Projects In Bahawalpur

A meeting was held with Commissioner Bahawalpur Nayyar Iqbal on Friday to review ongoing development projects worth millions of rupees underway in different areas of Bahawalpur division.
The meeting presided over by Commissioner Bahawalpur division, Nayyar Iqbal was also attended by Chairman Bahawalpur Development Authority (BDA) Malik Muhammad Aamir, Director Development and Finance, Nosheen Malik, Divisional Sports Officer, Raees Aazam, District Sports Officer Bahawalpur, Maqsood-Ul-Hassan Javed, District Sports Officer Bahawalnagar, Aamir Hameed, District Sports Officer Rahimyar Khan, Muhammad Ashfaq and other officials.
Chairman BDA Malik Muhammad Aamir informed the committee about ongoing development projects and schemes launched for the beautification of the city.
He also shared details regarding under construction BDA complex.
The meeting reviewed 12 development projects pertaining to Sports Department in three districts of the division.
It was told that a sum of Rs 74.832 million had been allocated for construction of sports stadium in Ahmedpur East, Rs 11.671 million for women indoor games, Rs 21.693 million for construction of sports stadium in Mauza Bonga, Rs 74.750 million for construction of cricket ground at Government High school Uch Sharif and Rs 74. 750 million for cricket ground in Chak-51DB Yazman.
It was further informed that a sum of Rs 74.750 million was earmarked for construction of cricket ground at Government High School Fort Abbas, Rs 68.268 million for Football ground in Fort Abbas, Rs 72.500 million for Bahawalnagar Stadium, Rs 74.750 million for cricket ground at Government Boys Degree College Rahimyar Khan and another sum of Rs 74.750 million for cricket ground in Liaquatpur.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that no compromise would be made on standard andquality of material to be used in the development projects.
