MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Dec, 2017 ) :Pakistan and China would continue to cooperate with each other in science, technology and agriculture and Pak-China friendship is considered as symbol of sincere friendship all-over the world.
This was stated by Dr Qu Yan Ying, the director research cotton (molecular breeding), Xinjiang Agriculture University, during her visit to Central Cotton Research Institute (CCRI) Multan. He is accompanied by a six-member delegation from China, says a release issued by CCRI spokesman on Thursday.
Director CCRI Multan Dr Zahid Mahmood and other officials welcomed the delegation and gave them detailed briefing on CCRI working, achievements and goals.
The foreign delegates were also informed of the on-going research on Cotton Leaf Curl Virus and that the Desi cotton had shown resistance against CLCuV and this trait of Desi cotton was being incorporated into high yielding cotton varieties.
Prof Qu Yan Ying thanked Pakistani scientists on sharing information and expressed the hope that scientists from the two countries would continue to share information, research findings on enemy pests, bollworms, ClCuV, and how to control it. The delegates visited CCRI Multan laboratories and research fields and appreciated the on-going research work.
