
Court Extends Physical Remand Of Accused In Controversial Poster Case

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Augst,2016) : A judicial magistrate on Friday extended physical remand of Move on Pakistan Chairman Mian Muhammad Kamran for another two days in controversial posters case. Earlier, the Old Anarkali police produced the accused before Judicial Magistrate Miss Sajida Samreen and requested the court to grant further remand for interrogation.
But, the accused's counsel opposed the request saying that it was not required. However, the court after hearing arguments extended physical remand for another two days and directed police to produce the accused on expiry of the remand term. The police, on the complaint of Munsif Awan of Pakistan Justice Party, had registered a case against Kamran under 120B, 124A, 505, 148 and 149 sections of the PPC.
Munsif had pointed out that Kamran had displayed some `controversial posters' in Lahore and other cities.
