Creating Awareness About Child Sexual Abuse Essential: Dr Farid

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2017 ) : Head of Psychiatry Department Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Dr Farid Minhas Friday said educational institutions can play an effective role for creating awareness about childhood sexual abuse and to control.

Speaking at a workshop on the issue, he urged parents and teachers to keep an eye on the behaviour of children as they grow up from adolence. He called upon parents to give maximum time to their kids, adding that collective efforts including parents ,teachers and media we can control it.

He said that if the abused child does not get proper treatment in time, he becomes a burden on society. People from all walks of lives, including representatives of NGOs, students and medical staff were also attended the workshop.
